We are located and inspect residential and commercial properties in South Central Kentucky. Our inspectors are well qualified with an array of background experiences in building construction, electrical and plumbing.
As the name implies, we inspect homes for buyers, sellers or anyone with a vested interest in residential or commercial properties. With economic times the way they are, the wise investor needs all the information available in order to make informed decisions whether buying that dream home or investment property. We at Highland home inspections take our job very seriously. Our home inspections are very thorough and comprehensive from the roof to the ground and everything in between.
The perfect home inspection would be a welcome event for any home inspector, with everything marked acceptable in the report. Unfortunately, with the hundreds of inspections we have completed, that has never happened. Many of the inspection defficiencies we write up are fairly minor in nature and require minimal labor and cost to repair or replace.
Some defficiencies however are more major issues involving structural, electrical, plumbing. heating and cooling, roof, or insulation and are generally more serious and may require the services of a professional. Although we can't do any of the work ourselves, or recommend any particular professional, we can advise you on obtaining quotes and supply a list of names or companies in the area who do the type of work required.
Our inspections start with a first contact where we gather information about the home you are considering buying or selling along with a pre-inspection agreement. At this time you will also receive the NAHI Standards of Practice which is one of the required standards used by the State of Kentucky. We will work with you or your agent to get the inspection date and time scheduled and completed as soon as possible.
